The Dunes & Tunes

Hey Folks -

My final report from Provincetown centers on my last bit of time there when I visited the famous dunes and then drove away back to the airport in Portsmouth, New Hampshire to fly home.

There were interesting geological facts to discover and beautiful sights to see (pictures are porovided) - the end of a most memorable adventure.

One last note: as I drove away on Highway 6, I listened to WOMR Radio, the local, Provincetown radio station (Mary Martin has a Uke Program every Wednesday night at 8:00 p.m. - available on the net). Just before it faded out the DJ played two songs perfect for my return to Ohio.

The first involved a trucker who helped out the people of New Orleans by "stealing" the locked-up, unused FEMA trailers in Arkansas and hauling them to homeless folks in New Orleans. The Ohio connection was his truck; it was a Kenworth, which is made in a factory twenty minutes south of Circleville (South of Columbus, Ohio) where I live.

As if that weren't enough, the last song before the signal faded was a funny tune, "Now We Can Blame the Cows," by Victoria Parks, a long-time friend of mine from Columbus.

Nice.
