Music and Politics, Politics and Music!!! * * * Everything is political. We’re admonished, “Never discuss religion or politics.” Follow that advice, and we’ll have to quit talking altogether. * * * Well, the Uke Man speaks! * * * Keep track here of my musical shenanigans, my political ruminations, and - from time to time - some other interesting eruptions.

Tom -
Your picture of the outhouse brings to mind what they want to do with the patriot act - to establish a one-way, no return, no argument flow of information regarding the citizens of the United States into a brick-shit-house strong repository (should that have started with an "s"?) of "information" -
Only the politicos will be willing to dig through the load of muck and mire (hell, they live elbow deep in shit anyhow) BUT(t) I'm sure they'll be more than willing to use the shit they collect on people to drag 'em down to their level -
So the head of the FBI needs to approve fishing trips to libraries and bookstores to see what you and I are buying - well I'll betcha that modification to the act came with a big old rubber stamp -
Yes folks and folkies - our freedom is vanishing before our eyes - those behind 9/11 have won - the America that once was is gone - right down the shitter and into the muck and mire of the world politic!
Let's all try to change that in the next series of election cycles ... perhaps we can rid ourselves of the paranoia act ...
In Solidarity and Peace
Steve
As you say in you song "Thank God for Toilets" Gotta have someplace for all that Shit. I have had a very reminisant week from my Uke Man memories. Mowin the grass the other night on the pike singing "PEE WEE" thinkin about wild edibles and sleeping in tents by the pond and all the other fun we had. Back when I was young. Keep up the great tunes and comments your young freind (Hillbilly from Ross County).
Aaron
