Yeah, Right!!
What a joke!!
Is there sanity in this nation? Some gay-bashing former state legislator on the west coast, now a mayor, is found out to be gay, and his earlier, diabolical hypocrisy in denigrating gays is NOT the issue. No! The issue is that the PRESS found out the facts in an improper way and, so, "victimized" the gentleman. Those evil reporters!!
Just like when reporters found out that Ronnie Reagan had imported and sold crack cocaine to pay for arming the Contras – it was nothing more than evil reporting.
Just like when reporters found that a Cincinnati millionaire had screwed South American peasants and broken American and international laws to make a killing with his Cheeky-ita Bananas it was evil reporting that came under scrutiny! The newspaper gladly paid a fine, and the reporter was fired!
Just like when W avoided going to Viet Nam and that fact was reported by Dan Rather. It was true, BUT the questionable validity of the source (not the factuality of the story) was the crux of the matter!
NOW! “Newsweek” prints a story that NO ONE in the Administration has said is not TRUE, but since the source (after pressure has been applied?) says he MIGHT have had the wrong report in mind – NOT that NO report said it, just that he might have CITED the WRONG report – “Newsweek” has retracted part of the story, and the White House is demanding further fawning.
Yeah, right!
Don’t you think it’s time we woke up, folks, and quit killing the messenger!

You are so right, Tom. Hang in there and keep up the great work!! Sondra
But the messenger is such an easy target, Ukester! Besides, in this country, he who yells louder and longer wins. Right? Look at the last election. Never mind. I'd rather not.
